U.S. DOE announces nearly $60 million to advance clean hydrogen technologies and improve the electric power grid

 

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) just announced nearly $42 million in funding for deployment of hydrogen projects, and $17.8 million for university hydrogen research, stating that this funding will reduce clean hydrogen costs, deliver cleaner air, create high-quality jobs and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. This announcement is a huge step towards meeting decarbonization goals, and could be another decisive element in creating the new hydrogen economy.
